Two days International Conference on "Shaping the Future of Functional Food Processing"

The students of 2nd and 3rd semesters, along with faculty and supporting staff, went for an industrial tour from 13-02-2024 to 24-02-2024. The group visited several food processing industries of North India, including Pioneer Industries pvt ltd, SS Food Industries, Sukhjit Starch and Chemicals ltd, Field Fresh India pvt ltd, Verka Ludhiana Dairy ltd, etc, and some reputed national institutes such as NABI Mohali, GADVASU and PAU Ludhiana Punjab.

14 day High –End workshop (Karyashala) entitled, “Hands on Training on the Development and Characterization of Millet-Based Extruded Products” from 23rd November 2023 to 6th December 2023, sanctioned by Science and Engineering Research Board, New Delhi (SERB) under Karyashala scheme

One day strawberry festival was organized by the department

A counseling cum awareness program was held in the department, which was chaired by Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Professor and Head at Trans Disciplinary University of Banglore.

Accelerate Vigyan Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored High-end workshop “Microbiological techniques of Food Products”
